Who we are
The IOWRSOC are a part of the main Ford RS Owners Club based on the Isle of Wight, far south of the UK where we happily share 1 passion and 1 passion only, the Ford RS badge. Although we are also still keen on the other varietys of fast Fords. So how did we startout you may ask? Well we first started by meeting up with other like minded Ford RS enthusiasts in a local car park and since then we have had multiple different meeting venues, several different committee members as well as lost & gained members and every other ups and downs that come with starting up a club. But the hardwork has paid off as our member base is rapidly growning and over the years, we have happily earn't our status to be a locally respected car club, not only with the local community but with the other local car clubs & groups.
What we do
Every third sunday of each month, we have our set meetings to discuss with each member any issues, news & plans he/she may have that is relevant to the club. View the meeting page for more information on this. Aside from the monthly meets, 
depending what time of year it is, we like to organise trips accross the mainland to various car shows and depending on if we get invites, we get to put the club on display. We also receive invites from local car clubs/groups to attend their shows and have our own stands and from time to time we organise for fellow regional clubs to come visit us to enjoy a days rally around our beutiful island. Which is not only great for us but great for the Isle of Wight's popularity and reputation.
Why we do it
We beleive our club is run on the shire admireness, respect for our pride and joys and what we get out of our cars. The cl
ub is also a great way to get away from all the hassle's and stress of every day life and as well as this, there is a good mixture of fun and friendly people and someone is always the odd one out when it comes to pulling a gimick or laughter at someones leisure. Plus out of all this, Its a good way to add additional items to your C.V for working well in a team, helping others and more importanly, your a member of a local group on a voluntarily basis.
